We are excited to announce the launch of our Laparoscopic Gynecological Services at Siddhi Memorial Women and Children Hospital. Since August 2024, we have been proudly offering advanced laparoscopic gynecological surgeries, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic salpingectomy, and laparoscopic myomectomy, among others.

This new service comes after the successful completion of the Laparoscopic Surgery Fellowship by our Head of the Department (HOD) of Gynecology and Obstetrics. With her expertise, along with the dedicated team of gynecologists and obstetricians at Siddhi Memorial, we are now able to provide minimally invasive surgical options for our patients, ensuring faster recovery, less pain, and reduced hospital stay.

At Siddhi Memorial Hospital, we are proud to see our Pediatric Unit growing and advancing in the care of preterm infants. We are now receiving preterm referrals from other hospitals, demonstrating the trust and confidence in the quality of care we provide. Additionally, preterm deliveries from our Obstetrics Department are promptly admitted to our NICU, where they receive specialized care tailored to their needs. The length of stay in the NICU depends on the individual condition of each baby, ensuring they receive the most appropriate treatment for their health.

Our NICU is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by a highly skilled team, providing tertiary-level care to our little patients. A recent highlight is the successful discharge of a 26-week preterm baby after an impressive 72 days in the NICU, showcasing our team’s expertise and dedication to providing the best possible outcomes for the most vulnerable newborns. This Preterm was 800 grams during delivery and at the time of discharge the baby was almost 1500 grams.

We continue to make strides in improving preterm care and remain committed to ensuring that every baby receives the care they need to thrive.

On 2025.01.02, our Gyneobs team in collaboration with Dr Mohan Chandra Regmi( Senior Consultant Urogynecologist) successfully conducted SMH’s first Uro-Gyne Surgery ” Hematometra Drainage With Creation Of Neovaginum” in 12 year old girl with diagnosis Vaginal Agenesis With Hematometra. Vaginal agenesis is a rare congenital abnormality where the vagina is either partially or completely absent. In this case the child landed with severe abdominal pain and with thorough examination and diagnostic tests the case was diagnosed as Vaginal Agenesis with Hematometra (blood retention in uterus). So this rare abnormality was treated surgically by creating new vagina and the collected blood was drained.

We are very proud of our Gyneobs team of Surgeon and Nurses for pushing their limit and expanding the service horizon. And we are very thankful to Dr Mohan Chandra Regmi for his contribution and expertise.

We are operating 3 Help Desks for COVID-19 in our hospital area, First Help Desk as Triage Area operates from 9 am to 5 pm at main entry gate for fever screening, strict handwashing and sanitizing facility. Other help desks are in service for patients and visitors from 9 am to 2 pm.
