VIA Screening Campaign by Siddhi Memorial Hospital: A Step Towards Early Detection of Cervical Cancer

Since Magh to Chaitra 2081, Siddhi Memorial Hospital (SMH) has been unwavering in its commitment to women’s health with the launch of a VIA Screening Campaign in collaboration with various local cooperative institutions. Over the past three months, our dedicated team has conducted multiple health camps across different communities in Bhaktapur, aiming to provide early detection and intervention for cervical cancer.
In total, we have screened over 1,000 women, ensuring that those at risk are identified early. As part of the initiative, more than 50 women have undergone further diagnostics and interventions, helping to detect potential issues at the earliest stage possible.
The primary goal of this campaign is to early diagnose cervical cancer, which is a leading cause of death among women in many parts of the world. Our Gynecology team and outreach team have worked tirelessly and passionately to engage with the local communities, raising awareness and providing life-saving screenings.
We are proud of the impact this campaign has made, as we continue to strive towards better health outcomes for women and greater awareness about the importance of early cervical cancer detection.
This initiative stands as a testament to the collective effort of our dedicated staff, community partners, and the unwavering support from the people of Bhaktapur. Together, we are working towards a healthier, cancer-free future for women in the region.
